What started out as an idea has turned into a recruiting tool and opportunities to educate the next generation of college graduates.

 

The Hendrick Center of Automotive Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina made a perfect backdrop for this year’s final Hendrick, Get Set. Go! grant presentation. Kyle Larson made a pit stop at the automotive training facility located on Wake Tech Community College’s campus to award Vernon Malone College and Career Academy a $25,000 grant to grow and broaden access to their new motorsports-inspired STEM project for its students.

 

Each year, Hendrick Automotive Group aides all of its dealerships and collision center nationwide to focus on sustainability and maximizing landfill diversion. Being good stewards of the environment allows us to make a difference in each of our communities where dealerships and collision centers are located.

 

Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Buick GMC is partnering with Western Regional Youth Association in Richmond, Virginia and has joined forces with the national Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball program to provide new equipment, invitations to free instructional clinics and an opportunity for community members to earn donations for their league via a test drive fundraiser.

We celebrated the finale our Hendrick Hunger Heroes program with Kyle Larson! Our teammates helped us raise $500,000 for food banks across the country, and we dropped off some big checks at some of our partner food banks to celebrate.

The latest Hendrick, Get Set. Go! grant celebration was hosted on Friday, October 15 as the first event of Texas race weekend for Kyle Larson and Hendrick Automotive Group, sponsor of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevy. Students, teachers and staff from McKinney High School attended a virtual celebration to accept a $10,000 donation to support the school’s STEM education initiatives.

?Kyle Larson helped us kick off race weekend with our latest Hendrick, Get Set. Go! event to support STEM education! Students from the Berryhill School learned about the science of racing, ran pit crew drills and practice, and accepted a $10,000 STEM grant for their school.

Every year, Honda of America initiates a community outreach campaign encouraging all Honda and Acura dealers nationwide to give back. This year, Honda decided to extend their efforts all summer, allowing dealer groups the time to dig deeper with one project, or to even complete multiple projects.

“Overall, we really experienced a Honda Weeks of Service campaign unlike any other,” said Jennifer Gomez, Hendrick Cares lead at Honda of Concord. “Our teammates knew how much this would mean to our community, and we were not at all surprised at how much they stepped up.”

What do mini bikes, dunk tanks and youth development have in common? They’re all part of our Charlotte-area Honda stores’ project for Honda Weeks of Service!

Honda of Concord, Hendrick Acura, Hendrick Honda and Honda Cars of Rock Hill all hosted employee fundraisers to benefit Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth and Families and its chapter of NYPUM, the National Youth Project Using Minibikes. NYPUM is a national partner of Honda that uses mini bikes and trail riding to develop leadership, life skills and mentor relationships for under-served youth.

Since 2010, Hendrick Automotive Group has been proud to work with Quest Resource Management Group on our environmental sustainability efforts. All 100+ of our dealerships, service centers and collision locations participate in this program, as we are committed to a cleaner way to do business. In 2020 alone, Hendrick Automotive Group recycled over 27,000,000 pounds of waste. The volume recycled prevented the emissions of over 38,000 metric tons of CO2.
